Tech issue slows sending of jail log

A tech issue with the sending of the morning jail log continues today and it’s been determined that many regular recipients of this information are not receiving it. That includes GreeneStreets. GCSD records clerks are well aware of the issue and are working to resolve it. Computer glitches are frustrating and so patience is the word of the day. Whenever this gets resolved, we’ll get caught up on all new entries for this week.

Update with arrest: Solsberry man who slipped away from work release is in custody

UPDATE: A Solsberry man who allegedly slipped away from work release, accused of removing his GPS ankle bracelet at his workplace and not returning to the work release center, is in custody. Joshua Lee Corlett, 31, Solsberry, was arrested by Indiana State Police Trooper Richard Klun last Monday, September 21. He was booked into the Greene County Jail at 4:28 p.m. Corlett was arrested on three warrants, one for felony escape and two in cases of felony burglary convictions for alleged violations of the conditions of work release. Corlett appeared in Greene Superior Court early last Thursday, September 24, for his initial hearing. In the two burglary cases, Corlett is being held without bond until his next hearing in mid-November when the court will consider petitions to change his placement to serve his sentences.

A man believed to have overdosed on a narcotic drug, found unresponsive in a motel room in early July, was arrested last Friday after he was again found unresponsive, this time in the driver’s seat of a crashed vehicle, with his foot on the gas and a syringe and burnt spoon nearby.

Solsberry couple accused of battery to a juvenile

An investigation by an Indiana State Police trooper into a case of battery to a juvenile has resulted in the arrest of a Solsberry woman and her boyfriend. One or the other of them are facing charges ranging from domestic battery and battery with bodily injury to felony strangulation and neglect of a dependent.

Update, In Custody: Warrant issued for Dugger man missing from work release program

From last week: A Dugger man who was on work release is accused of removing his GPS ankle bracelet in the parking lot of a church in eastern Greene County on Monday and not returning to the work release center. His whereabouts are unknown. A warrant for his arrest was issued today. Today’s Update: Last week a story was posted on GreeneStreets about a man who was on work release who removed his ankle bracelet in the parking lot of a church and did not return to the work release center. His whereabouts were unknown but yesterday, on Wednesday, September 23, he was taken into custody and booked into the Greene County Jail at 8:08 p.m. Gerald Leroy Thompson, 29, now from Bloomfield, was arrested by Deputy Marshal Wayman JR Blazier of the Bloomfield Police Department.
