Emily Irene Wicker, 26, Switz City, was arrested by Officer Joe Riley of the Linton Police Department on Monday, September 21.

Emily Wicker was the driver of an orange Kia Forte that was eastbound on State Road 54 in Linton on Monday night. Around 10:14 p.m., LPD Officer Riley noticed the Kia because it had only one headlight and he initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of SR 54 and County Road 1000 West.

Officer Riley said Wicker was extremely nervous and had trouble sitting still while he was gathering information from her. After Greene County Sheriff’s Deputies Jordan Allor and Michael Stanley arrived on the scene to assist, Officer Riley got his K9 partner Kona out to do a free air sniff around Wicker’s vehicle. K9 Kona alerted to the presence of a controlled substance between the front and rear doors on the driver’s side.

Officer Riley reported that when the vehicle was searched, he found a small plastic bag on the driver’s front seat. It contained a white crystal substance which field-tested positive as methamphetamine. When Wicker was searched prior to transport, she allegedly admitted she had a “meth pipe” hidden inside her bra.

Wicker was transported to the Greene County Jail where she was booked in at 11:25 p.m. She was initially held without bond pending court appearance.

Wicker appeared in Greene Superior Court today, Thursday, September 24, and was formally charged with possession of methamphetamine, a Level 6 felony, and possession of paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor.

During the hearing, her bond was set at $4,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed. She has since posted bond and been released from jail.
