Today, Tuesday, October 9, is last day to register to vote in Fall Election 2018

If you’re not registered to vote, there’s still time, but today is the last day. If you register today, you will be able to vote in the Fall Election on Tuesday, November 6, or be able to vote during the early voting period.

Greene County Clerk Tammy Woodall announced that if a voter wishes to register to vote or update their address, they have until Tuesday, October 9.

Voters can register in person in the Voter Registration Office on the second floor of the Greene County Courthouse from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Voters can also register online by visiting https://indianavoters.in.gov/ until midnight tonight, Tuesday, October 9.

If you have any questions, contact the Greene County Voter Registration Office at 812-384-2015 from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Part 1 of 3: On Wednesday, October 3, at approximately 5:42 a.m., dispatch at the Linton Police Department received a call from someone who said Todd Bennett had been shot and needed medical attention. At approximately the same time, dispatch at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department received a call from a different person who said Jared Turner had just shot someone. Officers from both departments responded, to two different locations.

CASE UPDATE after her initial hearing….. After an almost year-long investigation, a warrant was issued for the arrest of a Bloomfield woman who’s facing a Level 3 felony count. She is accused of breaking the arm of her seven-week-old child. She was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon.
