A Bloomfield man is accused of attempted murder for allegedly making numerous threats against his ex and her new boyfriend then traveling to the boyfriend's rural Worthington home where he crashed his truck into the house and used a lot of ammo that left bullet holes in an exterior door and shot up windows, furniture and glass. The couple and a young child left the home before he arrived and were not injured.

Fatal fire in Greene County claims the life of one

During the late hours of December 23, Beech Creek Township Fire Department was dispatched to a fully engulfed structure fire on Pate Lane in the Solsberry area. Beech Creek was assisted by the Center Township Fire Department, Clay Township Fire Department, Greene County Ambulance Service, Greene County Sheriff’s Department and the Greene County Coroners office. The fire claimed the life of one subject. The fire is under investigation at this time with the State Fire Marshalls Office. The name of the deceased was not released.

UPDATE: JUVENILE LOCATED AROUND 4:30 PM.......GCSD asking for info about missing/runaway juvenile

A 15-year-old juvenile is missing from the Bloomfield area and the Greene County Sheriff's Department is asking the public for information that could help locate her.

Caitlin R. Williams, 15, Bloomfield, was last seen around 11:00 PM on Christmas Day - Sunday, December 25.

Greene County Sheriff's Deputy Michael Stanley, the lead investigator, said deputies were called to a house on Baseline Road in the Bloomfield area around 12:45 AM on Monday, December 26. Deputy Stanley said Caitlin's mother, Jamie Bower, provided them with names of Caitlin’s closest friends but he said none of them have been able to to provide information about Caitlin's location.

Caitlin was last seen when she left home around 11:00 PM on Christmas Day wearing a black sweater without a hood and Christmas pajama pants that had pictures on them. Caitlin is approximately 5 foot 5 inches tall with brown shoulder length hair.

Deputy Stanley said Caitlin’s cell phone has been turned off since approximately the time she left home and it is unknown if she is on foot or is traveling in a vehicle.

Nathan Abrams, president, Greene County Board of Commissioners, has put Greene County's Road Status to Level One or Advisory until 6:00 p.m. tonight (Thursday). Greene County Emergency Management Agency Director Roger Axe reports that at that time, Abrams has ordered it to advance to Level Two, Watch Status until 8:00 a.m. Saturday, December 24.
