Tuesday at 1 pm: Blessing the new Safe Haven Baby Box at Linton Fire Department

It’s often said that teamwork makes the dream work; but with collaboration between the Linton Fire Department and other organizations, that teamwork could save lives. Tuesday at 1 p.m., the Linton Fire Department will hold a blessing for its newly installed Safe Haven Baby Box. Then, the box will go live. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.

A driver stopped in Lawrence Hollow last week cautioned a deputy to be careful with the lockbox in the floorboard of his vehicle, saying it contained his mother’s ashes. The deputy said the lockbox contained four baggies of methamphetamine and a stash of paraphernalia.
