New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Friday, Aug 4, 2023:

Aug. 3, 1:44 PM, Logan Joseph Cross-Brinson, 18, Linton, was arrested on a warrant for dealing cocaine or a narcotic drug. No bond was allowed. 

Aug. 3, 9:35 PM, Jacqueline Amanda Michelle Slater, 35, Jasonville, was arrested on a warrant for neglect of a dependent. Her bond was set at $5,000 surety with 10% cash allowed. She was released after posting $500. Jasonville Police Department Officer Skylar Scott was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
