Kenneth Ray Russell, known as Kenny, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2025 at the Veteran''s Hospital in Indianapolis, at the age 74. He was born in Linton on October 12, 1950, the son of Eleanor (Johnson) Russell and Rollie Russell.

Kenny was a 1968 graduate of L & M High School. He proudly served in the United States Navy (U.S.S. Coral Sea) during the Vietnam War. He was known for his strong character and quiet determination.

He is survived by his nieces and their families: Rita Russell Langhans (Phillip), great-niece, Jaime Langhans McDaniels (Lance), great-nephew, Adam Langhans (Lindsey); Diana Russell Morrow, great-nephew, Ezekiel Morrow; Ashley Russell Sutherby (Brian), great-nephews, Keaton and Brody Sutherby; and Stephanie Russell Childers (Chris), & great-niece, Morgan Childers. He is also survived by three great-great nieces and one great-great nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Larry Russell and Dennis Russell.

Visitation will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton on Monday, April 14, 2025 from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM, with Military Honors at 2:00 PM.

Graveside service will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Linton at 2:30 PM on Monday, April 14, 2025, with Chris Childers officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to Tunnels to Towers Foundation, through the funeral home.
