William D. "Bill" Myers, 84, of Midland, IN passed away at 7:19 p.m. Friday, March 28, 2025 in Union Hospital in Terre Haute, IN.

He was born August 28, 1940 in Jasonville, IN to George Fred “Pete” Myers and Gladys (Null) Myers.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Sandra “Sandy” Myers of Midland, IN who she married on December 8, 1961; children, Cindy Mattox of Terre Haute, IN, Cary Myers (Angie) of Sullivan, IN; grandchildren, Dustin Mattox, Taylor VanHorn (Ryan), Trey Farrell; great-grandchildren, Henrietta Corbin Mattox, Natalya Mattox; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandchild, Brooks Mattox; brothers, Steve Myers, Phillip Myers, Stan Myers.

Bill graduated from Midland High School Class of 1958. He worked at the Peabody Shops in 1964 and later retired from Peabody Coal Co. as a welder. Bill enjoyed traveling with his wife Sandy, they visited all 50 states, Bill drove the lower 48. He enjoyed hunting and fishing when he was younger. He was a lifelong member of Lebanon Baptist Church.

Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, April 4, 2025 at the Funeral Home. Services are immediately following at 2 P.M. with Pastor Mike Rotman officiating.

Interment will be at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland, IN.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Bill to the CARE Animal Rescue, Midland, IN.
