Micki Elaine Church, 84, of Linton, Indiana, went to Heaven with loved ones by her side, on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at Autumn Trace Assisted Living in Linton. She was born on February 9, 1941 in Terre Haute, Indiana to Max Earl and Cordy ‘Berti’ (Lashbrook) Hopkins. Micki married the love of her life, Jerry D. Church on October 11, 1959.

Micki was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church. She was a homemaker, loving mother and grandmother. She also worked as a teacher’s aide at Dugger Elementary School, as well as volunteered at Pregnancy Choices. Micki enjoyed talking about her Jesus, quilting and reading.

Family left to cherish the memories of Micki include: two sons, Tim (Margaret) Church and Troy (Leslie) Church, all of Linton; two daughters, Tammy (Don) Young of Greenwood and Tanya (Scott) Johnson of Bloomfield; thirteen grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren. Also surviving are multiple in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Micki was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jerry Church; daughter, Tracy Hunt; brothers, Steven Joe Hopkins and Tony Hopkins.

A memorial service to honor the life of Micki will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at Anderson-Poindexter Chapel in Linton with Pastor John Winders officiating. Micki will be laid to rest in Indian Prairie Cemetery in Carlisle at a later date.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
