According to Jasonville Utilities, customers throughout the city will be without water until further notice while utility crews complete the necessary repairs. Officials said crews are working to restore service as quickly and safely as possible and thanked customers for their patience during the outage. Once water service has been restored and repairs are complete, the entire water system will remain under a boil water advisory until further notice. Customers will be notified when water service has been restored and again when the boil water advisory has been lifted. Additional updates will be provided as information becomes available.

Edwin "Eddie" L. Edmonson, 70, of Lyons, formerly of Linton, passed away on August 7, 2026. Born June 22, 1956, at Freeman Greene County General Hospital in Linton, Eddie was the son of Carlos and Georgianna (Geatches) Edmonson.
Barbara P. Bowersock, 94, of Linton, passed away peacefully at 7:25 AM on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at Ketcham Memorial Center in Odon, joining a family who has brightened her days for generations. Born December 28, 1931, in Linton to Thomas and Hazel (Norris) Yates, she lived a life rooted in faith, family, and service.
Mary E. Clark, 88, of rural Jasonville, passed away peacefully on Monday evening, August 3, 2026, at home, surrounded by the family she loved so dearly. Mary was born at home in Jasonville on July 16, 1938, to Loren E. “Hap” Bowersock and Lillian Maxine (Gabbard) Bowersock, and she lived her life with quiet strength, kindness, and devotion to those around her.
Bill Ray Allen, 83, of Jasonville, IN passed away at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 5, 2026 in his home.

Donald "Don" Rhodes, 81, of Linton, Indiana, passed away peacefully at his home at on Wednesday, August 5, 2026. He was born in Linton on February 6, 1945, to Norman and Pauline Rhodes.
JoAnn Callihan, 78, of Linton, Indiana, went to Heaven with family by her side, on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at Greene County General Hospital in Linton. She was born on August 7, 1947, in Linton to John and Margeret (McDonald) Reeves. JoAnn married the love of her life, Jerry Robert Callihan, on August 23, 1969.
Steven Lynn McDonald, of Odon, Indiana, passed away peacefully at the age of 75, at the Daviess Community Hospital ER on Sunday, August 2, 2026, after a lengthy illness of 5 years. He was born on December 19, 1950, in Washington, Indiana to Kenneth and Mildred (Trowbridge) McDonald. Steven married his wife of 44 years, Brenda (Andis) McDonald on March 20, 1982.
