Marguerite “Margie” Veronica (Bojanowski) Carnevale, 93, of Linton, Indiana, passed away peacefully at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at The Waters of Sullivan.

She was born in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, on June 30, 1933. Marge was the daughter of Joseph and Helen (Cisek) Bojanowski. She grew up with strong family values and a deep work ethic that would guide her throughout her life.

Marge held several jobs during her lifetime, including positions with Marriott Corporation, Old Oak Country Club, and Western Electric, where she met her husband, Gerard Carnevale. But above all her roles, her greatest joy and most treasured calling was being a devoted homemaker and mother to her children.

An active and creative soul, Marge found pleasure in gardening, sewing, needlework, cooking and baking, and following politics. She was a faithful parishioner of St. Peter Catholic Church in Linton, where her spirit and devotion to her Lord touched many.

She was known for her delicious baking and cooking. She loved teaching her children to cook as well. Marge treasured her collection of cookbooks and gourmet recipes. She is fondly remembered for always preparing nutritious meals for her family. Her children followed her example and love of many, varied cuisines and carry on those traditional dishes in their own homes.

Marge is survived by her loving family: daughters, Christine (John) Koubek and Catherine (Edward) Wright; sons, Robert Gerald Carnevale and James J. (Sue) Carnevale; grandchildren, Kenneth Koubek, Klaire Koubek (Michael Trombley), Kela Carnevale, Joseah Carnevale; and her sister, Helen (Joseph) Grasso. She was preceded in death by her daughters, Clare Anne Carnevale and Virginia; her brothers, Joseph Bojanowski and Robert Bojanowski; her sister, Rosemary Nichols; her cousins and many nieces and nephews located in the U.S., Canada, and Europe.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in honor of Marge’s life and faith, or to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
