Former Bloomfield woman sentenced to time in jail for meth

In late August of 2020, after an anonymous caller alleged drugs were being used in a house in Bloomfield where a child lived, officers arrived, requested a search warrant and reported finding illegal substances and paraphernalia in numerous spots in the house, along with a stash of cash. A Bloomfield woman was arrested, charged then later pleaded guilty. Last week she was booked into the Greene County Jail to begin serving her sentence.

UPDATE: Vigo County Sheriff John Plasse reports Michael Wilson, 40, of Terre Haute, has been located and charged with murder and auto theft, in reference to the homicide investigation earlier in the day on Carlisle Street in southern Vigo County. Wilson is in the custody of the Vigo County Jail, after being located in Owen County. This investigation is ongoing. “We would like to thank the community for the various tips we received throughout the day. We also extend our gratitude to other agencies who assisted in the investigation including Owen County Sheriff’s Office, Indiana DNR, Terre Haute Police Department, Indiana State Police, Vigo County Prosecutor’s Office, and Vigo County Coroner’s Office. VCSD investigating morning homicide, asking for help from the public

The Vigo County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a morning homicide in southern Vigo County. They’re looking for a suspect and are asking for information from the public.

Vigo County Sheriff John Plasse reported that VCSD deputies responded at 9:45 a.m. this morning, Thursday, May 27, to 7755 Carlisle Street in southern Vigo County on a death investigation.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered a 72-year-old female, Gayle Wilson, deceased in the home. This death is being investigated as a homicide investigation at this time.

“The Vigo County Sheriff’s Office is asking for your help,” said Plasse. “We are looking for a 2017 silver Subaru Outback, plate number 830TKR.”

Plasse said a 40-year-old male named Michael Wilson is also wanted for questioning on this case.

When ISP troopers executed a search warrant in December of 2019, they seized over 10 pounds of marijuana and over $25,000 cash from the home of a Solsberry man who was then charged with dealing marijuana as a Level 5 felony. He later changed his plea to guilty and this month he was sentenced in Greene Circuit Court.
