Tomi Elise (Staisch) Dodson, age 44, of Humble, Texas, formerly of Worthington, Indiana, passed away peacefully at her home at 3:29 AM on Christmas morning, Monday, December 25, 2023, following a long battle with cancer. She was born in Linton, Indiana on September 2, 1979, the daughter of William "Bill" and Elizabeth "Beth" Ann (Clifford) Staisch.

Tomi was a 1998 graduate of White River Valley High School in Switz City, Indiana. She earned a Bachelor Degree from Indiana State University and a Masters Degree from Houston State University. She married her college sweetheart, Brad Dodson, on June 21, 2003. They resided in Humble, Texas where she was an elementary teacher and served in many roles at Humble Elementary School, where she was extremely active.

Tomi enjoyed reading, time with her friends, and taking her boys to six flags, water parks, and the beach. She loved her career, friends, and family.

She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Brad E. Dodson; two sons, Noah and Aiden Dodson; mother and step-father, Beth and Cody Alsman; two sisters, Wendee Staisch and Lacey (Lee) McDonald; a step-sister, Breann Alsman; a step-brother, Garrett Alsman (Jasmine); maternal grandmother, Sandy Clifford; father-in-law, Robert Dodson; and an aunt to five nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bill Staisch; maternal grandfather, Wayne Clifford; paternal grandparents, William and Eva Mae Staisch; and mother-in-law, Judith Dodson.

Funeral service will be held at Lincoln Christian Church in rural Jasonville on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. Burial will follow at Walker Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 11:00am until the time of service.
