New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Thursday, Nov. 9, 2023:

Nov. 8, 3:47 PM, Joshua Lee Roush, 30, Westphalia, was arrested on preliminary charges of intimidation with a deadly weapon, possession of a hypodermic syringe or needle, pointing a firearm, possession of methamphetamine. No bond was allowed. Linton Police Department Officer Jerrad Pirtle was the arresting officer. 

Nov. 8, 10:42 PM, Clinton Kane Hestand, 33, Bloomfield was arrested on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated – endangerment. His bond was set at $8,000 surety with 10% cash allowed. Worthington Police Department Officer Caleb Ray was the arresting officer. 

Nov. 9, 3:34 AM, Savannah Marie Chesterfield, 19, was arrested on preliminary charges of domestic battery and strangulation. Her bond was set at $8,000 surety with 10% cash allowed.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
