The Greene County Sheriff’s Department is seeking assistance in locating a missing juvenile who was last seen leaving her residence at approximately 5 a.m. on Tuesday, June 19. According to a press release from the sheriff’s department, 15-year-old Nevaeh Grace Smith, who goes by Grace, was last seen at approximately 5 a.m. getting into a small white passenger car. The make and model of the car is unknown. She is approximately 5’3” and weighs 133 pounds. She has long brown hair and blue/green eyes. It’s possible she may be wearing glasses. If anyone has information about the whereabouts of Smith, please contact the Greene County Sheriff’s Department at 812-384-4411. Deputy Andrew Shelton is investigating the case.

Robert “Bob” Blaker, 88, of Linton, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at his residence. He was born in Pontiac, Michigan on July 20, 1937, the son of Robert and Ilene (Taylor) Blaker. He had two sisters, Judy and Rosalie, and he was the middle child.
Charles D. ‘Chuck’ Moss II, of Linton, Indiana, passed from this life with his family by his side, on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on February 27, 1955, in Sullivan, Indiana to Charles D. ‘Dow’ and Marcelene L. (Debaun) Moss. Chuck married his loving wife, Debbie Jo (Wilkerson) Moss on November 3, 1978.
Robert Bradley Ellis, 81, of Bloomfield, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2026 at the Gibson Family Center for Hospice in Terre Haute. Born November 16, 1944 in Sullivan, Indiana, he was the son of Robert and Cora (Ransford) Ellis.
Majorie M Dennis, age 88 of Walled Lake MI, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 30, 2026 at Henry Ford Hospital West Bloomfield, MI. Marjorie was born in Pontiac, MI. She was born on March 13, 1937 to Harold and Hazel Spencer.
Billy Wayne Gilbert, 75, of Lewis, IN passed away at 7:25 p.m. Monday, June 29, 2026 in Union Hospital in Terre Haute, IN.
Carolyn F. (Edmonson) Howard, 77, of Hymera, IN passed away at 8:41 p.m. Friday, June 26, 2026 in her home surrounded by her loving family.
Stephen W. Farris, 77, of Switz City, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of June 28, 2026, at Glenburn Home in Linton, with his wife and son by his side. Born on September 12, 1948, to Elmo and Juanita (Hueston) Farris, Stephen grew up rooted in family, faith, and the simple joys that would shape his life.
Melvin Lee Bruner, 70, of Bloomfield, finished his journey in this life at 9:40 PM on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Redcrest IU Hospice House in Bloomington, and was relocated to his home in Heaven with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was born on September 18, 1955, in Rochester, Indiana, Melvin was the son of Robert and Mary (Carpenter) Bruner.
Gary L. Mayfield, 78, of Linton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 3:35 PM at Greene County General Hospital, surrounded by the love of his family.
George Marshall Pearson, 69, of Bloomfield, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at his residence. Born December 4, 1956 in Linton, he was the son of George Lee and Freida Mable (Turpin) Pearson.
