Law enforcement officers set aside their official duties last night and took on the responsibilities of servers at Jack’s Place in Jasonville to help raise money for Project Lifesaver, an organization geared to benefit those suffering from Alzheimer’s, dementia, Down syndrome, and other cognitive conditions. 

A unique fundraiser to help Project Lifesaver, an organization geared to benefit those suffering from Alzheimer’s, dementia, Down syndrome, and other cognitive conditions, will be held this Thursday, Nov. 2 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Jack’s Place, located at 270 East Main Street in Jasonville. 

A summons to appear in court has been issued for a 30-year-old Solsberry woman after she allegedly took items from Linton Walmart in September and left the store without paying for them. 

A 46-year-old Solsberry man was arrested on a warrant Oct. 24 after he allegedly took headlights from a local store without paying for them. 

A 19-year-old Linton man was arrested Oct. 16 after allegedly battering his pregnant girlfriend. 

With Halloween right around the corner, now is a good time to start preparing for a night of fun and safe trick-or-treating. 

A 20-year-old Worthington man found himself behind bars Oct. 11 on a charge of domestic battery after allegedly throwing a can of popcorn at his grandmother, resulting in a laceration to her leg. 

Throughout October and November, the officers of the Linton Police Department are donning ribbons around their badges for a good cause. 

A 29-year-old Sullivan man was arrested Oct. 16 on three charges of theft with a prior conviction after purchasing items from a local store only to refund the purchase without returning the items the following day.

A Jasonville man has been summoned to appear in Greene Superior Court on a Class A Misdemeanor charge of theft following a September incident at the Jasonville Family Dollar Store. 

A 42-year-old Terre Haute man was arrested in the early morning hours of Oct. 6 on alcohol-related charges after he was involved in a one-vehicle accident at the intersection of East Antioch Road and South U.S. Highway 231 in Bloomfield. 

An Oct. 13 incident resulted in the arrest of a 42-year-old Linton woman on charges of possession of methamphetamine and paraphernalia. 

In order to complete needed updates on the town’s sewer plant, Worthington residents are asked to submit letters of support for a grant that would help fund a large portion of the project. 

Early voting for the Nov. 7 Municipal Election has begun and there are ample opportunities for those with wish to cast their vote early.
