Linton man arrested on charges of battering pregnant woman

A 19-year-old Linton man was arrested Oct. 16 after allegedly battering his pregnant girlfriend.

Linton Police Department Officer JR Blazier arrested Parker Eugene Lee Gould on charges of domestic battery with bodily injury to a pregnant woman and intimidation.

A female victim contacted the Linton Police Department and reported that Gould had put his hands on her. During the call, according to the probable cause affidavit, Dispatch could hear a male yelling “I want you out” in the background.

Blazier went to Camelot Court apartments to speak with the victim. Upon arrival, Blazier wrote in the probable cause that the victim was visibly upset and crying. She also had redness all over the face. According to the probable cause affidavit, the victim told Blazier she and Gould got into an argument and he got on top of her and began hitting her. The victim informed Blaizer she is pregnant with Gould’s child and he is aware of the pregnancy. She alleged he grabbed her by her throat and hair and was pushing her around, so she hit him back. She alleged Gould told her he would get a knife and kill her because she would not leave the apartment. She told Blazier she could not leave because she didn’t have gas in her vehicle. When asked how Gould hit her, the victim claimed he was just slapping her around. She admitted she did hit Gould back because he was hitting her. She alleged he told her he would get a knife and kill her and that he wished she was dead. When the victim called the police, Gould left the residence.

Blazier took photos of the victim’s face and throat. According to the probable cause affidavit, she had redness around her face and neck around her jawline. She also had what appeared to be a bruise from a finger on the right side of her neck.

When speaking with Gould, he told Blazier the two argued and he tried to take her phone to call his mom to get the victim out of the apartment because he did not want to be around her. He alleged that started a fight and the victim alleged he put his hands on her. According to the probable cause affidavit, Gould showed Blazier what he did by putting his hand up under his jaw and around his mouth and squeezed and hold the face. He stated that he did this so “she would listen to him because she is hardheaded as f**k , because it’s hard to get anything through her thick a** skull.” When asked why he grabbed her face, he told Blazier it was because he wanted her to listen to him.

Gould was transported to Greene County Jail where his bond was set at $10,000 surety with 10% cash allowed.

He appeared in Greene Circuit Court for an initial hearing on Oct. 18.

He is facing charges of domestic battery with bodily injury to a pregnant woman, a Level 5 Felony and intimidation, a Level 6 Felony.
