Kathy J. Wolfe, 69, of Worthington, passed away peacefully at 6:40 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Serenity Springs Senior Living in Jasonville, surrounded by love and gentle care.

Born June 9, 1956, in Indianapolis, Kathy was the daughter of James P. Johnson and Arlene Jeanrette. She spent her early years in California before moving to Jasonville, where she attended Shakamak High School and made lifelong friends.

Kathy later made her home in Worthington, where her kind spirit and easy smile became familiar to many. She cherished her time at the Sunshine Shop and the Worthington Senior Center, always finding joy in conversation. Kathy had a deep love for animals-especially her cats, who were never far from her side and brought her comfort and companionship throughout her life.

She will be lovingly remembered by her mother, Alene Jeanrette; and the mother who lovingly raised her, Margaret Johnson; and her siblings Jay (Rhonda) Johnson, Leeann (John) Gambill, Dennis Johnson, Jeff Johnson, Denise Johnson and JR, JD Johnson, Jeri Charbano, Dora Monroe, and Darrell Monroe.

Kathy was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Danny Monroe, whose memories she carried close to her heart.

A graveside service will be held at Claiborn Cemetery in Sullivan County at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 20, 2026, west of Cass, with Mark Messmer officiating.
