Katherine Louise (Page) Huntington
/Katherine Louise (Page) Huntington, 77, of Bloomfield passed away Wednesday March 11, 2026 at her residence.
The daughter of Murell Page and Margaret Helen "Sally" (Ervin) Page Perring, Kathy was born on November 22, 1948 in Vincennes, Indiana.
She was a proud Vincennes Lincoln Alice, graduating in 1966. She attended Vincennes University.
Kathy married Joe Huntington on September 13, 1970. She was a legal secretary in Terre Haute until their children were born and she chose to stay home with them. Joe and Kathy moved to Bloomfield in 1978. They owned and managed The Lighthouse with her sister and brother-in-law, Jenny and Garry Walker. Kathy worked as the Administrative Secretary for the Bloomfield High School Athletic Department. Over her 33 years at the school, she positively impacted countless students, coworkers, parents, and the community. Kathy could be counted on to offer support and a kind word and was always willing to share a laugh.
Kathy was an enthusiastic fan of whatever her grandchildren were doing, including sports, 4-H, or any other activity they were involved in. She logged many miles to attend events across the country. She was a passionate supporter of the Bloomfield Cardinals and was a fixture at games and matches. She also became an honorary Carmel Greyhound traveling north to cheer on her grandchildren there.
She took great joy in spending time with her family and being around people. Her house was always open and became a “second home” to many friends of her children and grandchildren while they were in school. Kathy never met a stranger and had a way of always making people feel loved and special. She had an extensive community of friends and was frequently the life of the party.
Kathy was an active member of the Bloomfield First Christian Church. She was also a member of Mother's Club and Psi Iota Xi.
