A Jasonville man who left the roadway at the intersection of SR 54 and 59 west of Linton knocked down a couple of signs – one of them said “Do Not Enter.” He then drove on and later hit a guardrail. He’s accused of driving with a BAC of .224.

Read MoreNorth County Road 1000 West, also known as Lone Tree Road, between County Roads 300 North and 400 North, has been closed since 5:57 p.m. due to a semi rolled over into a ditch. The semi was carrying a load of frozen turkeys. GCSD Deputy Logan Milligan said the road will be closed until further notice.
The crash occurred at 5:57 p.m. today, Friday, November 19, on North CR 1000 West. Jermaine Dawson, 39, of Valdosta, Georgia, was driving a Volvo Semi that was transporting frozen turkeys. Dawson was northbound on CR 1000 West when he met another semi that was southbound between CR 300 and 400 North.
According to Deputy Milligan, Dawson moved over causing the semi’s passenger side tires to run off the roadway into the ditch. He then tried to correct but the tires hit the soft shoulder of the ditch, causing the trailer to roll on its side in the ditch.
In addition to Deputy Milligan and other personnel from the Greene County Sheriff’s Department, other agencies assisting on the scene include the Greene County Ambulance Service, Switz City Fire Department, Wright Township Fire Department and Poor Boy’s Towing Company.
No injuries have been reported at time of post.
