GCSD asks for help to locate missing Solsberry man

A Solsberry man is missing and the Greene County Sheriff’s Department is investigating his disappearance. Today, on Wednesday, October 23, GCSD just released more information along with a photo. GCSD Deputy Jordan Gooding, the investigating officer, reported Saturday afternoon, October 19, that Danny Carpenter was last seen on Friday, October 11, at his residence located on Marcy Hollow Road in Solsberry. Gooding said Carpenter missed work for one week and an employee from his workplace attempted to check on him multiple times at Carpenter’s home but Carpenter was not there and his vehicle was not there. According to Deputy Gooding, Carpenter could possibly be driving his 2012 white Ford F-250 with Indiana license plate TK281NPC. Gooding said Carpenter is known to frequent the west side of Bloomington. “His cell phone was pinged in western Monroe County, but the cell phone is no longer on,” said Gooding. Carpenter is a white male, 62 years old, approximately six feet tall, weighing 250 lbs., with gray hair, brown eyes and possibly a full gray beard. Deputy Gooding said Carpenter may be in poor health with difficulty in breathing and some mental confusion. Anyone with information about Carpenter’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Greene County Sheriff’s Department at 812-384-4411, option 1 to speak to dispatch.

UPDATE: SUSPECT HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED.... Worthington Community Building vandalized; WPD asks for help from the public

The Worthington Police Department is reporting an incident of vandalism occurred at the Community Building in the Worthington Park on Friday night, October 18, between 9:30 and 10:10 p.m. WPD Deputy Marshal Russell Walls is asking anyone with information about this incident to please contact police. “All of the glass is broken out of the windows and doors,” said Walls, adding this caused thousands of dollars worth of damage. According to Officer Walls, one suspect was wearing a red Aeropostale 1987 tee shirt, blue jeans and dark shoes. Around noon on Saturday, Officer Walls released photos from a surveillance system showing a suspect. Anyone who recognizes the individual in the photos or who has any information about this incident is asked to contact the Greene County Sheriff’s Department at 812-384-4411 option 1 for dispatch. Walls thanked anyone with information for their help and said anyone with a tip will remain anonymous.

ISP investigation leads to arrest warrant issued for Bloomfield business owner and former coach

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a 56-year-old business owner accused of exposing himself, masturbating and approaching young women while he was naked at his business, Grip’s Pizza in Bloomfield. According to the Indiana State Police, at the time of the alleged incidents, the man was serving as a high school and junior high golf coach at a local school, but his employment has since been terminated.
