Charge filed against man suspected of vandalizing Community Building in Worthington Park

An investigation by the Worthington Police Department has resulted in a charge filed against a Linton man suspected of breaking the glass in the windows and doors of the Community Building in the Worthington Park last weekend. The suspect is already in jail. He was arrested last Saturday morning in Linton.

UPDATE: SUSPECT HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED.... Worthington Community Building vandalized; WPD asks for help from the public

The Worthington Police Department is reporting an incident of vandalism occurred at the Community Building in the Worthington Park on Friday night, October 18, between 9:30 and 10:10 p.m. WPD Deputy Marshal Russell Walls is asking anyone with information about this incident to please contact police. “All of the glass is broken out of the windows and doors,” said Walls, adding this caused thousands of dollars worth of damage. According to Officer Walls, one suspect was wearing a red Aeropostale 1987 tee shirt, blue jeans and dark shoes. Around noon on Saturday, Officer Walls released photos from a surveillance system showing a suspect. Anyone who recognizes the individual in the photos or who has any information about this incident is asked to contact the Greene County Sheriff’s Department at 812-384-4411 option 1 for dispatch. Walls thanked anyone with information for their help and said anyone with a tip will remain anonymous.
