LPD extends golf cart registration deadline
/The Linton Police Department is extending the deadline for golf cart registration until the “Stay Home” order is lifted.
Under Linton City Ordinance, all golf carts driven on city streets are required to be registered through the Linton Police Department. The registration period is also defined by ordinance to run from April 1 through March 31.
Due to the current restrictions that have been in place by the Governor of the State of Indiana, and the effects that this pandemic is having on everyday lives of Lintonians, and all Americans, the Linton Police Department will be postponing the registration of golf carts for the City of Linton.
This postponement will end when the State of Indiana’s “STAY-AT-HOME” Order. That Order is currently in place until April 6, 2020 @ 11:59pm. If the Governor extends that Order, our postponement will also extend.
During this time, the Linton Police Department will suspend any and all enforcement actions against golf carts for registration violations.
