Daniel L. Evans

Daniel L. Evans, 69, of Lyons passed away Friday February 27, 2026 at Greene County General Hospital in Linton.

Born August 21, 1956 in Washington, Indiana the son of Delmar L. Evans and Ruth Ellen (Taylor) Scott.

Daniel or “Cowboy” as he was known by his friends was a carpenter and a member of the Labor’s Union, he loved the outdoors.

Surviving relatives include his mother, Ruth Scott, one sister, Pam (Ron) Wampler, one brother, Delmar (Janene) Evans, Jr, one daughter, Deidre Evans, two grandchildren, Darrin and Walter, and special friend, Anette Cullison.

Daniel was preceded in death by his father, Delmar L. Evans, Sr., and his step-father Robert Scott.

Visitation will be held from 11 A.M. Thursday March 5, 2026 until the hour of service at Jenkins Funeral Home in Lyons.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Lyons.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that any memorial donations in Daniel’s name be given to Jenkins Funeral Home.
