Linton-Stockton receives grant for welding program
/Linton-Stockton High School is proud to announce that it has been awarded a grant from the Greene County Foundation Community Grant Program. This generous support will be used to enhance the school's welding program—an exciting step forward in providing hands-on career and technical education to students.
With the grant funds, the school will purchase a Piranha Ironworker, a versatile and powerful tool that will significantly expand the capabilities of the welding program. This equipment will provide students with real-world experience using industry-grade machinery, better preparing them for careers in welding, manufacturing, and other skilled trades.
“We are incredibly grateful to the Greene County Foundation and its donors for making this investment in our students and their futures,” said Danielle Goodman, LSSC Career Coach. “Their support ensures that our welding program continues to grow and thrive.”
Special recognition goes to Industrial Arts Teacher John Combs and Career Coach Danielle Goodman, whose dedication and hard work played a crucial role in securing the grant and advancing the vision for the program’s expansion.
As Linton-Stockton High School continues to develop its career and technical education offerings, this grant marks a significant milestone in creating more opportunities for student success in high-demand fields.
