Dale E. Bedwell, 82, of Dugger, IN, passed from this life with her husband by her side, on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at her residence. She was born on November 12, 1943, in Louisville, KY, to William G. and Alta Mae (Hinton) Spears. On October 18, 1963, Dale married Larry L. Bedwell.

Dale was a homemaker and mother who enjoyed entertaining and feeding others. She liked to shop, too, but her most enjoyable times were those spent with her loving family. Dale was a member of the Friendly Grove Baptist Church.

Family left to cherish memories of Dale include: her husband, Larry Bedwell; son, Lonnie (Denise) Bedwell of Dugger; daughters, Nila (Troy) Sego of Bloomington, and Stacie (Waylon) Fonderhide of Linton; grandchildren, Trey (Madison) Bedwell, Lauren Bedwell, Camden (Trista) Sego, Cayden (Sydnee) Sego, Colten (Brennicka) Sego, Caitlyn Sego, Jacie (Sammy) Robbins, Demi Jo Fonderhide, Maesyn Fonderhide; great-grandchildren, Grayson, Ren and Beckett; brothers, Roy (Nelda) Spears of Farmersburg and Phillip (Sally) Spears of Terre Haute; and several nieces and nephews.

Dale was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Bill Spears; and sisters, Barbara Denham, Joyce Spears, and Dorothy Speck.

A graveside service honoring Dale’s life, will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, March 13, 2026, at the Dugger Cemetery, with Rev. Dick Smith officiating.

There will be no public viewing.
