JPD, ISP, Prosecutor and Coroner are investigating a death in Jasonville

The Jasonville Police Department has confirmed they are investigating a death in Jasonville but few details are being released at this time.

JPD Chief Ryan Van Horn reported that on Thursday, August 5, officers were dispatched to a call for EMS at a residence in the 200 block of Sycamore Street in Jasonville. When they arrived, the found a 51-year-old man was deceased inside the residence.

The identity of the deceased has not been released and will not be released until family is notified.

Chief Van Horn said an autopsy is scheduled for today, Friday, August 6, to be conducted by Forensic Pathologist Dele Adeagbo MD at Terre Haute Regional Hospital.

The investigation is ongoing and no further information regarding the cause or manner of death, the circumstances, or other details are being released as of this morning.

In addition to JPD, personnel are assisting in the investigation from the Indiana State Police, the Greene County Prosecutor’s Office and the Greene County Coroner’s Office.
