New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2023:

Dec. 19, 1:50 PM, Melissa Sue Thomas, 36, Bloomfield, was arrested on a preliminary charge of possession of methamphetamine. No bond was allowed. Greene County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Devan Goad was the arresting officer. 

Dec. 19, 3:00 PM, Kevin Michael Wolfe, 44, Bloomfield, was arrested on a warrant for burglary. No bond was allowed.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
