New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2023:

Nov. 13, 1:15 PM, Jeffrey Marshall Smith, 52, Linton, was arrested on a warrant for possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana/hash oil/hashish/salvia. No bond was allowed. 

Nov. 13, 3:24 PM, Brandon Kristopher Crain, 38, Solsberry, was arrested on preliminary charges of possession of a firearm by a violent felon, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a hypodermic syringe or needle, possession of marijuana/hash oil/hashish/salvia, altered gun identification, possession of paraphernalia, and battery committed with a deadly weapon. No bond was allowed. Greene County Sheriff’s Department Det. Shawn Cullison was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
