A warrant was served March 9 on a 18-year-old Lebanon man after he allegedly confined, strangled, and battered a pregnant woman. 

Update: She has been safely located as of 10:20 a.m. Monday, March 18.

The Greene County Sheriff’s Department is seeking assistance in the location of a juvenile, reported missing at 10:13 p.m. March 17.  According to a release from the sheriff’s department, deputies were called to a residence near Worthington in the late evening hours on March 17 to locate 16-year-old Delainey Strosnider. She was last seen wearing red plaid pajama pants and a gray hooded sweatshirt. She’s approximately 5’3” with long blonde/brown hair and hazel eyes. Per the release, it is not known if she left on foot or by vehicle. She does not have access to her phone. Any information about her whereabouts is requested to be sent to the Greene County Sheriff’s Department by calling 812-384-4411. Deputy Michael Stanley is investigating the incident. 

While executing an out-of-county warrant for a 40-year-old Bloomfield woman on March 8, another warrant was issued for charges of escape, resisting law enforcement, refusal to aid an officer, and unlawful possession of a legend drug in Greene County. Her Greene County warrant was served on March 12. 

A 28-year-old Linton man appeared in Greene Circuit Court Feb. 27 after allegedly failing to pay for more than $500 worth of goods at Walmart. 

A 45-year-old Bloomington woman was arrested March 5 on a warrant for identity deception and fraud after she opened a credit card in her son’s name without permission. 

A 28-year-old Linton man was arrested Feb. 28 after allegedly grabbing his pregnant girlfriend by the neck, shoving her to the ground and kicking her stomach. 

A 42-year-old Lyons man appeared in Greene Superior Court Feb. 22 after methamphetamine was located in his residence while officers attempted to serve a warrant. 

A 52-year-old Bloomington woman was arrested Feb. 29 on a warrant for theft after her rent checks for a Solsberry residence bounced and she failed to make the debt right. 

A 49-year-old Jasonville man is behind bars at the Greene County Jail following a Feb. 21 warrant arrest for eight counts of child molesting. 

The ballot is set for the May Primary Election.

A 46-year-old Bloomfield man was arrested Feb. 13 on a warrant for neglect of a dependent and compulsory school attendance violation after his child, as of Jan. 4, missed 29 days of school. 

A Statewide Silver Alert has been declared. The Linton Police Department is investigating the disappearance of Earl Lloyd Kates, an 89-year-old white male, 5 feet 6 inches tall, 200 pounds, brown hair with hazel eyes. Last seen driving a dark blue, 2019 GMC Acadia, Indiana license plate: D418PE. Earl is missing from Linton, Indiana which is 90 miles southwest of Indianapolis and was last seen on Monday, February 12, 2024.  He is believed to be in extreme danger and may require medical assistance.

The Greene County Sheriff’s Department (GCSD) responded Saturday, Feb . 10 to an accident on State Road 59 after a 48-year-old Linton man struck a deer while traveling on his motorcycle.
