A teenager is missing from the Switz City area and the Greene County Sheriff's Department is asking the public for information.

Shane Lamb, 14, Switz City, is a white male who wears glasses. He was last seen wearing a black coat, a black hoodie, blue jeans, red Puma shoes, and black glasses. He was carrying a black backpack.

Deputy James Carpenter, the investigating officer, is asking anyone with information about Shane or anyone who sees Shane to please contact the Greene County Sheriff's Department at 812-384-4411.

A Bloomfield man was scheduled to appear in court early this morning for his initial hearing but he hired a defense attorney and the defense waived the hearing. The man is accused of grabbing an armful of clothing items from the Goodwill store and running out of the store with them then jumping in his vehicle and driving away without paying for the items.

INDIANAPOLIS- Jacob Magness, 23, of Bloomington, Indiana, was sentenced to 70 months in federal prison for possession and distribution of fentanyl and other controlled substances. Magness spent a few days in the Greene County Jail back in August of 2021 on a charge of driving while suspended - a knowing violation with a prior conviction within 10 years.
