Elsewhere: ISP makes arrest in case involving unidentified child found in suitcase

Sellersburg, Ind. - Wednesday, October 26, 2022: Detectives with the Indiana State Police (ISP) in Sellersburg have arrested a suspect in connection with the death of the unidentified boy found inside a suitcase in rural Washington County, Indiana, in April of this year. A warrant for the arrest of a second suspect is still outstanding and ISP is asking for the public’s help to locate the woman whose mug shot is included in this post.

Bond revoked for suspicious man arrested first in Sullivan County then in Linton within days

Last week a story was posted about the arrest on October 20 by LPD of a suspicious man who was asleep behind the wheel of a vehicle parked in a public place in Linton. The same man was arrested on October 12 in Sullivan County by ISP following a foot pursuit through several residential yards. He was accused of being in possession of syringes, cocaine, methamphetamine and bath salts. A few days later, he posted $2,800 and was released on bond only to get arrested in Greene County a few days after that. Last Friday, October 21, his bond was revoked in Sullivan County and a warrant for his arrest was issued out of Sullivan County. It’s that time of year again for drivers to be aware of deer darting into and crossing the roadways. Last year in the state of Indiana there were over 15,000 accidents involving deer. Out of those accidents there were 366 with injuries and two fatalities. The Putnamville State Police Post would like to pass along a few safety tips to help you avoid a possible collision with a deer this year.

An investigation involving two sheriff's departments resulted in the arrest of a Linton woman last Friday on two felony counts, one for neglect of a dependent and the other for battery on a child under the age of 14.
