An ongoing investigation by the LPD into some behaviors by a Linton man resulted in his arrest. A Linton woman said his behavior was giving her a creepy feeling. Once he got into court, and displayed his disruptive behavior to a judge and prosecutor, the hearing could not be completed and his bond was increased significantly.

It was announced earlier that as a mark of respect for former U.S. Sen. Harry Reid of Nevada, the White House has issued a proclamation for display of the United States flag at half-staff from sunrise to sunset on the day of his interment scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022. But that is not the day of his interment. Sen. Reid is being honored in his home state of Nevada on Saturday then he will lie in state at the U.S. Capitol on January 12. The day of his internment has not been announced yet. Former Sen. Reid passed away on Dec. 28, 2021.
