New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2026: 

Sept. 28, 1:13 p.m., Ronald Joseph Meurer, 27, Lyons, was arrested on a preliminary charge of domestic battery. No bond was allowed. 

Sept. 28, 5:40 p.m., Gaberial Lee McDonald, 18, Jasonville, was arrested on a warrant for vehicle theft, unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle, theft, and unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle. His bond was set at $9,500 surety with 10% cash allowed.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
