On Thursday night, the Greene County Sheriff’s Department has reported State Road 54 is currently shut down east of Bloomfield in the area of Ridgeport Lane due to a motor vehicle accident. No estimate was available regarding time that the road will be closed but GCSD said it would be for an “extended time.” According to Center Fire Territory, the shut down, on the highway between Holtsclaw Road and Crowe Road, was expected to last for some time due to the accident. They asked motorists to please avoid the area. No other information has been released. Will post when more info is available.
