Reba Cheyenne Johnson, 24, Linton, was arrested by Detective Shawn Cullison of the Greene County Sheriff’s Department last Thursday, July 22, following a GCSD investigation into inappropriate behavior by Johnson with minors.

Det. Cullison, the lead investigator, assisted by GCSD Det. David Elmore, began an investigation last Thursday afternoon, July 22, after a Linton woman contacted the Linton Police Department and reported Johnson had been having sexual relations with two of her teen sons. Following interviews, in the probable cause affidavit prepared by Det. Cullison, one of those sons is named as an alleged victim and the other is a witness. Both are juveniles.

Det. Cullison first met at the police department with the woman who reported the situation while Det. Elmore met with a man who was a neighbor.

The woman, who lives in the same apartments as Johnson, said when Johnson was visiting at her apartment, Johnson started rubbing the legs and chest of two of her sons and she told her to stop because they were juveniles. Then when she talked to the man who is another neighbor, he told her he saw one of the juveniles going into Johnson’s apartment that morning, staying for about an hour. When she talked to another older child, they said the juvenile and Johnson had slept together 11 or 12 times. On her way to the police station, one of the juveniles told her Johnson had also taken them to a gas station/convenience store and bought beer for them. One of those interviewed later said Johnson also purchased CBD gummies for them.

The interviews continued with the detectives talking to the alleged victim, the witness, and Johnson.

During the interview with Johnson, she first denied having purchased alcohol for minors and denied allegations of a sexual relationship between her and the victim. Det. Cullison reported Johnson later changed her story when talking to Det. Elmore and admitted she did have sex with the victim.

No further information about the interviews or the encounters will be detailed in this story.

A criminal case was filed against Johnson this week. She’s facing charges of:

  • Two counts of sexual misconduct with a minor, both are Level 4 felonies, and

  • Furnishing alcohol to a minor, a Class B misdemeanor.

Johnson’s bond was set at $30,500 surety with ten percent cash allowed. As of late Tuesday, she had not yet posted bond and was still in the Greene County Jail.
