Michael Allen Faulk, 50, Shelburn, was arrested by Sgt. Jordan Allor of the Greene County Sheriff’s Department last Sunday, July 18.

Faulk was operating a motorcycle in Bloomfield around 7 p.m. Sunday, allegedly with an expired registration and false plates that belonged to another cycle. Sgt. Allor initiated a stop at the intersection of South Washington and East Mechanic streets and Faulk pulled over at the public library on South Franklin Street.

Faulk said he had just bought the motorcycle and got the license plate from a friend. He also said he didn’t have a driver’s license and that he’s on probation.

Sgt. Allor knew there was a warrant out for the arrest of Michael Faulk and so Faulk was placed in handcuffs. During a pat-down, a glass pipe with white powder residue was found in a pocket but Faulk said he didn’t have any meth on him or on the cycle, adding that since he’d just bought the cycle, he didn’t know what might be in the saddlebags.

Faulk consented to searches of his person and the motorcycle. Another smoking device was found in another pocket, with burnt residue, and a metal cylinder containing a white powder residue. Both items field-tested positive for the presence of methamphetamine.

Sgt. Allor reported finding a zip bag containing a white crystal substance, that field-tested positive as methamphetamine, in a pouch in a saddlebag. The white crystal substance weighed 10.95 grams.

During a records check, it was determined that Faulk did not have a warrant out for his arrest – the warrant was for his son, Michael C. Faulk. Records also showed his license was suspended.

Faulk was booked into the Greene County Jail at 7:54 p.m. He was being held without bond pending court appearance.

Faulk is facing charges of:

  • Possession of methamphetamine, a Level 6 felony, and

  • Possession of paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor.
