Aaron Joseph Beaver, 26, Switz City, is wanted on a warrant issued last Friday, November 22, for failure to register as a sex offender with a prior conviction for failure to register, a Level 5 felony.

Beaver was convicted of sexual misconduct with a minor in January of 2015 in Greene County. He was sentenced to two years with community corrections. Two more years were suspended. He was required to register as a sex offender for 10 years. His registration started in February 2015.

In August of 2017, he was convicted of failure to register as a sex offender. With this prior conviction on his record, being charged with it again bumps the charge up to a Level 5 felony.

Det. Shawn Cullison of the Greene County Sheriff’s Department has been trying to locate Beaver.

The last address Beaver registered was a residence on West State Road 54, Switz City.

On October 4, GCSD Deputy Bruce Porter went to the residence but Beaver was not there. A family member said Beaver had not lived there for two to three weeks.

In November, Det. Cullison returned to the same address to check again. He talked to a different family member who said Beaver hadn’t been there for over a month and that Beaver was living in Greencastle.

By last Friday, a criminal case had been filed against Beaver and the warrant was issued for his arrest.

Det. Cullison said Beaver’s whereabouts are unknown. He is required to register until May 21, 2027.
