Linton man accused of criminal mischief in Lyons
/A Linton man is being summoned to appear in court on a charge of criminal mischief. He’s accused of jumping up on the hood of another man’s truck in Lyons and stomping on the windshield, breaking it.
Harley J. Shields, 27, Linton, is facing a charge of criminal mischief, a Class B misdemeanor.
Deputy Jordan Gooding of the Greene County Sheriff’s Department was dispatched around 2:40 p.m. on Monday, July 6, to an incident that occurred in Lyons.
Deputy Gooding talked to a woman who said she was at a friend’s house when Shields showed up on a red four-wheeler with another man. She said Shields asked where his kids were and started calling her names. She said she told him she didn’t know where his kids were.
Shields became upset and allegedly jumped up on the hood of the woman’s father’s truck and stomped on the windshield until it broke. She said the two men then took off on the four-wheeler.
A criminal case was filed against Shields last Friday and a summons was sent to Shields ordering him to appear in Greene Superior Court in mid-August.
