Elsewhere: ISP investigating threat to Spencer/Owen Schools, but says there's no current danger

SPENCER, Ind. - Indiana State Police Public Information Officer Sgt. Curt Durnil recently tweeted that a "report of a POSSIBLE threat made to the Spencer/Owen Community School Corporation earlier this morning (05/23) is being investigated."

Durnil wrote, there "IS NO CURRENT DANGER to anyone in the school system! The school day will proceed as planned."

He also stated, please do not call Owen County Emergency Personnel or the School Corporation for details. They understand your concern, however phone lines need to be open for emergencies and daily business.

Durnil stressed again, their is no current danger to anyone in the school system.

The Spencer Police Department and ISP Detectives are currently investigating the origin of the threat. No arrests have been made.
