Bloomfield driver arrested after driving without a license
/A Bloomfield driver who was stopped for speeding allegedly admitted he did not have a driver’s license and had never had a driver’s license.
Jayden Polani Aason Keo, 18, Bloomfield, was arrested by Sgt. Jordan Allor of the Greene County Sheriff’s Department last Thursday, May 20.
Sgt. Allor and GCSD Deputy William Walker were southbound on State Road 157 north of Bloomfield near East Miller Road when they saw a maroon Chevrolet Malibu that was northbound on SR 157 at a high rate of speed. Front radar showed it was going 67 in a 45 mph zone.
The deputies did a U-turn and caught up to the vehicle to initiate a traffic stop on SR 157 at Calvertville Road.
Jayden Keo was the driver who allegedly admitted he did not have a driver’s license and had never had one.
Keo was taken into custody and transported to the Greene County Jail where he was booked in at 10:54 p.m.
Keo’s bond was set at $500 surety with ten percent cash allowed. He posted $50 and was released with a court date.
The charge against Keo is knowingly or intentionally operating a motor vehicle without ever receiving a license, a Class C misdemeanor.
