Charles Gilbert Cook

Charles Gilbert Cook, 94, of Odon and formally of Bloomfield passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024 at Parkview Assisted Living in Odon.

Born August 30, 1929 in Bloomfield, Indiana the son of Emery and Clova (Flake) Cook.

Charles was a plumber/pipe fitter. He served his country in the Korean War with the United States Marine Corps. He was a member of the Steam Fitters and Pipe Fitters Union #136 Evansville, Solsberry Masonic Lodge #411 and the American Legion Post 196 Bloomfield.

Surviving relatives include his two children, Jane (Jim) Carter, Mike (Karen) Cook; his grandchildren, Aaron Carter, Ryan Carter, Dustin Carter, Darren Carter, Jeremy Cook, Ben Cook, Tara Richeson, Josh Neighbors, two step grandson, Jon Skinner, Jeremy Skinner and nineteen great Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Cook on May 27, 2023, a granddaughter, Erin Neighbors, daughter, Diana Skinner, Siblings, Mary, Patricia, Ruth, Dorothy, Wilburn, Max, Marvin, Pete, Jim, Jack, Joe and Herschel and his parents.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, January 19, 2024 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Pastor Paul McHenry officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery.

Public visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Friday at the funeral home.

The family wishes any memorial donations be made to Erin’s Purpose Scholarship Fund in Charles name.

William Allan "Bill" Malone, age 89, of Bloomfield, left this earthly home on Monday, January 15, 2024 to be with his sons, grandson and other loved ones in Heaven with his beloved Lord and Savior following years of suffering from the affliction of Aphasia that gradually destroyed his ability to speak and communicate verbally, followed by dementia. He was born on October 25, 1934 in Terre Haute, Indiana to Henry William & Maudalene L. (Taylor) Malone.
