Road closure planned for State Road 57 in Greene County

The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a road closure for State Road 57 in Greene County. Beginning on or around Tuesday, September 22, crews will close State Road 57 near Newberry. This closure will occur over the White River. The closure of S.R. 57 will allow for a bridge deck overlay project. Work is expected to last through mid-October, depending on the weather. The official detour for this closure is State Road 58 to State Road 67 to State Road 54. Local traffic will have access up to the point of closure. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones.
