Amos Musselman

Amos Musselman, 93, of Newberry, Indiana, passed peacefully from this life on September 12, 2026, at his home with family by his side. He was born on October 30, 1932, in Linton, Indiana, to Omar Ernest and Mary Martha (Pennington) Musselman. Amos married the love of his life, Barbara Lee (Gregg) Musselman, on September 28, 1951.

Amos was a member of the Newberry Cornerstone Church, Newberry Masonic Lodge #166 F & AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Terre Haute, Indiana State Fair Commission, Board of Directors of Fox Trotters Assoc., WRV School Building Corp., Charter Member of White River Valley Antique Assoc., Greene Co. Public Defender Board, State of Indiana Real Estate Commission, Precinct Commission 1970 to present and Greene Co. Jail Building Corp. Amos built Musselman Apartments in 1977. He enjoyed farming, raising dairy cows, horses and he loved supporting Greene County 4-H.

Family left to cherish the memory of Amos include son, Ritch (Angel) Musselman; daughters, Becky (Darrell) Arthur and Judy (Brian) Wiles, all of Newberry; grandchildren, Lacy (Joe) Kantor, Jarrod (Angie) Arthur, Ashlee (Tyler) Martin, Allison (Randy) Kloss, Timi (Matt) Thompson, Tiffany (Kyle) Harrell, Tiera Jordan, Colten (Allison) Gregory, and Morgan Musselman; 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. He was also survived by a sister, Mary Hanna; sisters-in-law, Judy Musselman, June Gregg, and Patty Poe.

Amos was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Barbara Musselman; son, Amos Timothy Musselman; granddaughter, Danielle Lynn Arthur and brother, Omar Ed Musselman.

Funeral services to honor the memory of Amos will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at Newberry Cornerstone Church, 575 Walnut Street, Newberry, IN with Pastor Bob Bruner and Pastor Robert Duley officiating. Amos will be laid to rest in Newberry Cemetery.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, September 16 and from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 17 at the church. A Masonic Memorial Service will be at 7:00 PM on Wednesday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Newberry Cemetery. Envelopes will be available at the church.
