Greene County Hospital to host Women's Wellness and Healthy Families Circle
/Greene County General Hospital and Healthy Start Communities That CARE are inviting women in all stages of their reproductive health journey to participate in a new Women's Wellness and Healthy Families Circle beginning later this month.
The free series is designed to provide a welcoming space where women can learn, connect and support one another while discussing topics related to pregnancy, reproductive health, mental wellness and family support.
The program is open to women who are planning a pregnancy, currently pregnant, have recently welcomed a baby, are interested in learning more about reproductive health and wellness, or are thinking about family planning and their future.
Facilitators will lead discussions on mental health and emotional wellness, stress management and self-care, healthy relationships, support systems and community resources available to families.
The sessions will be held at the Humphreys Park Bandstand in Linton on the following dates:
Wednesday, Sept. 24, at 5 p.m.
Wednesday, Oct. 22, at 5 p.m.
Wednesday, Nov. 19, at 5 p.m.
The Women's Wellness and Healthy Families Circle will be facilitated by Community Health Worker Bridgett Edwards, Perinatal Navigator Nikki Page and licensed clinical social worker Peyton Goodwin.
Organizers encourage participants to bring a friend and build connections with other women in the community while learning about resources available to support healthy families.
The program is presented through a partnership between Greene County General Hospital and Healthy Start Communities That CARE, with support from the Health Resources and Services Administration.
