The filing period ended June 20 for those wishing to file for school board races for the November General Election. 

UPDATE: She has been located and is safe. The Greene County Sheriff's Department is not releasing any other information at this time. The Greene County Sheriff’s Department is seeking assistance in locating a missing juvenile who was last seen leaving her residence at approximately 5 a.m. on Tuesday, June 19.  According to a press release from the sheriff’s department, 15-year-old Nevaeh Grace Smith, who goes by Grace, was last seen at approximately 5 a.m. getting into a small white passenger car. The make and model of the car is unknown. She is approximately 5’3” and weighs 133 pounds. She has long brown hair and blue/green eyes. It’s possible she may be wearing glasses. If anyone has information about the whereabouts of Smith, please contact the Greene County Sheriff’s Department at 812-384-4411. Deputy Andrew Shelton is investigating the case.

A single vehicle accident on June 2 landed a 19-year-old Linton man behind bars on charges of minor in possession of alcohol and three operating a vehicle while intoxicated related charges.

A 28-year-old Switz City woman found herself behind bars May 18 after she allegedly stole an ambulance from Greene County General Hospital. 

Located: The missing teen has been located. The Greene County Sheriff’s Department is seeking assistance in locating a missing 15-year-old female from eastern Greene County. Nevaeh Grace Smith, who goes by Grace, was last seen on May 20 at approximately 12:50 a.m. leaving her residence. According to a press release from the sheriff’s department, she was seen getting into a small passenger car; however the make and model are unknown. The destination is also unknown. She could be with more than one individual. Smith is approximately 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 133 pounds. She has long brown hair, has blue/green eyes, and could possibly be wearing glasses.  If anyone has any information on this case, please contact the sheriff’s department at 812-384-4411. A 35-year-old Lyons man was arrested May 15 on a warrant for child solicitation, possession of child pornography, and false informing after allegedly interacting with an 18-year-old pretending to be a minor while also possessing pornographic images of children on an electronic device. 

The Greene County Sheriff’s Department is seeking information on a case involving criminal mischief at the Tulip Trestle, also known as the Viaduct in eastern Greene County. 

The polls closed at 6 p.m. for the Primary Election and the Greene County Voter Registration Office has released final vote totals for Greene County. 

Ten polling locations will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday for those wishing to cast their vote in the Primary Election.
