The filing period ended June 20 for those wishing to file for school board races for the November General Election.

The Greene County Sheriff’s Department is seeking assistance in locating a missing juvenile who was last seen leaving her residence at approximately 5 a.m. on Tuesday, June 19. According to a press release from the sheriff’s department, 15-year-old Nevaeh Grace Smith, who goes by Grace, was last seen at approximately 5 a.m. getting into a small white passenger car. The make and model of the car is unknown. She is approximately 5’3” and weighs 133 pounds. She has long brown hair and blue/green eyes. It’s possible she may be wearing glasses. If anyone has information about the whereabouts of Smith, please contact the Greene County Sheriff’s Department at 812-384-4411. Deputy Andrew Shelton is investigating the case.

Katherine Louise (Page) Huntington, 77, of Bloomfield passed away Wednesday March 11, 2026 at her residence.
Jeffrey Lee Clark, 67, of Linton, passed away peacefully in the early hours of Monday, March 16, 2026, at Deaconess Memorial Hospital in Jasper. Born on July 9, 1958, in Washington, Indiana, Jeff was the beloved son of William Joseph Clark, Sr. and Carolyn Sue (Brochin) Harsha.
Clyde “Toad” Groomer, 81, of Springville, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, March 15, 2026. Born September 23, 1944, to Clyde and Iva Jean (Sullivan) Groomer, he owned and operated Bloomfield Sales and worked as a paper carrier for the Herald Times. He married Pat in 1970, and together they raised four boys. In his later years, he was loved by Lois Bingham and her children.
Kathy J. Wolfe, 69, of Worthington, passed away peacefully at 6:40 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Serenity Springs Senior Living in Jasonville, surrounded by love and gentle care.
Patsy "Pat" Charlene (Chambers) Tribby, 87, of Jasonville, IN passed away on March 12, 2026. Pat was born May 17, 1938, to Charles Webster Chambers and Elizabeth Miller (Jones) Chambers at their home in the community of Jericho, Sullivan County, IN.
Linda Kay (Beauchman) Mason, 70, of Terre Haute, IN went peacefully to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 12, 2026 surrounded by her family and friends.
Shannon Renee Harth, age 48, of Brownsburg, went home to be with her Lord at 10:48 am on Friday, March 13, 2026. She was born in Bloomington, IN on December 2, 1977, the daughter of Max Cary & Rita Darlene (Hudson) Harth.
Jack Craig Greenwood, 83, of Linton, went home to Heaven on Thursday, March 12, 2026. He was born to Ovid and Juanita (Rice) Greenwood on April 4, 1942, in Linton. He was sad to have to depart, but he is happily reunited with his parents and other family and friends who preceded him into eternity.
Herbert Eugene "Gene" Bailey, age 88, of Linton, passed away peacefully at 2:50 am on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at his residence. He was born in Linton, IN on June 21, 1937. He was the son of Curtis & Elizabeth Lucile (Hopkins) Bailey.
Bob D. Godfrey, 91, of Jasonville, IN passed away at 8:20 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at his home.
