Beautiful weather brought a big crowd to National Night Out Tuesday in Linton’s Humphreys Park.

Local law enforcement departments as well as other public safety officials, such as fire departments and ambulance personnel, are gearing up for Tuesday’s National Night Out – a fun night to promote police and community partnerships. 

The Greene County Sheriff’s Department has announced a juvenile, reported missing on July 20, has been located safely. Levi Bailey, 16-years-old, was last seen at 3 p.m. on July 20 in Linton. He is approximately 5 foot 8 inches and weighs 200 lbs. He has curly brown hair, brown eyes, and wears glasses. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and a tan and blue flannel. Greene County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Harvey Holt is the investigating officer. 

Jack Farmer, 43 of Bloomington, an inmate at the Greene County Jail, was found by jail staff in an unresponsive state on July 23.

Human remains found in a field off of Sparks Road in Solsberry on May 1 have been determined to be no threat to the general public.

The Indiana State Police is investigating an officer-involved shooting that took place on July 19 on Old Clifty Road while officers were attempting to locate a suspect. 

A 28-year-old Solsberry woman was arrested on July 13 on a warrant for neglect of a dependent after her two young children were found unaccompanied walking on East Tulip Road near Beech Creek Lane in Solsberry. 

The Greene County Sheriff’s Department is seeking help in locating a missing juvenile.

A 44-year-old Linton man who was pulled over by police for expired plates on July 10 after previously being advised by police to renew them was later arrested on various drug-related charges on July 10. 

Update: Stinebaugh has been located and is safe and secure.

The Greene County Sheriff’s Department is attempting to locate a runaway juvenile, Braxton Stinebaugh. 

Stinebaugh was last seen July 18 at a residence north of Worthington. Stinebaugh is 5 foot 9 inches tall and weighs 125 lbs. Stinebaugh has brown hair and hazel eyes. There is no known clothing description or known destinations.

When a warrant was served on a 34-year-old Linton man on July 9, he had charges added as he was in possession of marijuana and a controlled substance at the time of his arrest. 

Unsafe movement at a stop sign and failure to use a turn signal was cause for a traffic stop which resulted in an alcohol-related arrest of a 23-year-old Linton man on July 4. 

A busted tail light and expired license plate alerted officers to initiate a traffic stop that resulted in the June 22 arrest of a 33-year-old Worthington man for possession of methamphetamine. 

Missing a curve and crashing into a guardrail while under the influence of alcohol resulted in the June 19 arrest of a 44-year-old Solsberry man.
