After a month-long investigation into a suspected abusive relationship involving a fearful victim and a Linton man, who now has a home address in Jasonville, the man was taken into custody last Friday. Today he was formally charged with two Level 5 felonies and he’s still in jail.

According to Amanda Lewellyn of the Greene County Voter Registration Office, the state sent a message out today saying, “For local office and party office candidates that are required to file with the clerk, the candidate filing deadline would be moved to noon, the next day your office is open but only if your office is closed on Friday, February 4, 2022.” So if you intend to file at the last minute, contact the Greene County Voter Registration Office in the Greene County Clerk’s Office on the second floor of the Greene County Courthouse by calling 812-384-2015 to talk to Amanda Lewellyn or Lori Dickinson to confirm deadlines in case the office might be closed on Friday.
