A Bloomington woman shopping at a store in Greene County allegedly concealed make-up and beauty items then attempted to leave without paying. When she appeared in court yesterday, she was charged with felony theft.

Today, Friday, June 28, Greene County Prosecutor Jarrod Holtsclaw released details of the shooting, the investigation and the findings. He said based upon the investigation, no criminal charges will be filed against the woman who shot Abel. Holtsclaw said the investigation revealed she was acting in self-defense when she shot Abel one time with a shotgun as he attempted to enter her home.
