Ailena Lynn Danita, 44, Lyons, was arrested by Deputy Michael Coy of the Greene County Sheriff’s Department last Sunday afternoon, March 21.

Around 3:40 Sunday afternoon, dispatch at the sheriff’s department got a call about an unruly subject. The caller said a woman would not leave a business on Main Street in Bloomfield and that she had “one too many.”

Deputy Coy was dispatched along with Deputy Davis Aerne. When they arrived, a man told them he had “cut her off” and that the woman was cussing and had “gone off” on people. He said the woman was asked to leave.

The woman was later identified as Ailena Danita. She was sitting at a picnic table when Deputy Coy approached her. He reported her speech was slurred and she was talking to him in the third person. She allegedly said she was not ok with the staff being “all ugly” with her. When asked how she was going to get home, she said since the deputies were there, she would walk if she had to. She said she lived one-half mile up the road.

Danita was offered a ride home and when she stood up, she had trouble maintaining her balance, Deputy Aerne assisted to keep her from falling. The deputies offered her a ride home again but she said she did not need a ride. Danita continued to be uncooperative, continued to refuse rides home and said she could drive home.

Danita was taken into custody and transported to the Greene County Jail where she was booked in at 4:22 p.m. Her bond was set at $1,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed. She posted $100 and was released later the same day.

Danita is facing a preliminary charge of criminal trespassing, a Class A misdemeanor. Her initial hearing is set in Greene Superior Court for Thursday, April 1.
